Joëlle Vernet, a Médecins Sans Frontières psychiatrist, worked near Mosul, Iraq, providing mental health consultations for parents of traumatised children. 

Médecins Sans Frontières mental health teams performed more than 100,000 consultations worldwide in 2016, helping to reduce people’s symptoms, to listen to their stories, and to help them find ways to cope and move on with their lives.
