Médecins Sans Frontières has been working in Gaza since 2009, providing medical care for men, women and children.
Our surgeons in Gaza are reporting devastating gunshot wounds among hundreds of people injured during recent protests, following the “March of Return” movement.
To face this massive influx of patients, we have increased the number of beds in the post-operative clinics, recruited and trained additional medical staff, and deployed a team of surgeons and anaesthetists to work side-by-side with Palestinian medical staff in Gaza public hospitals. A fourth clinic will also open soon to provide patients with the necessary specialised care.
