From emergency trauma surgery to long-term rehabilitative care and mental health services, our teams—with your support—have performed more than 14,000 operations and provided more than 8,000 mental health consultations in Maroua, Cameroon since 2016.
Médecins Sans Frontières is now transitioning the services provided in Maroua hospital to the ministry of health. But the health needs in the region remain significant. Children like Hawa and Narouke will continue to need critical medical care.
Our goal is to expand the availability of healthcare for the population at a time when armed conflict, a changing climate, and food and water insecurity continue to impose hardships on those in the region.
Thanks to your ongoing support, we launched new projects in the nearby areas of Mora and Kolofata to meet these needs and are preparing to launch more.
Please donate today so we can continue to provide essential medical care to those who need it most.
