As violence escalates in Israel and Gaza, thousands of people have died, with thousands more injured on both sides.

Our response

MSF medical-humanitarian teams are on the ground in Gaza responding to the latest escalation in violence, providing care to those affected by this conflict. Teams of local MSF staff have been providing surgical and inpatient care in Al-Awda hospital since Sunday (8 October) and we have expanded our bed capacity in this hospital.

Al Jabalia refugee camp was bombed on 9 October, and our team treated more than 50 people in Al Awda hospital in response to this attack.

The situation is horrific, with massive Israeli and Palestinian casualties. Our Palestinian colleagues are working day and night to cope with the influx of wounded. Following today’s bombing in Al Jabalia refugee camp, our team treated more than 50 people in Al Awda hospital.

Our teams in Gaza have seen multiple gunshot wounds and injuries from shrapnel, spread at random on the upper and lower limbs. The scale of this new round of hostilities must not be underestimated, with Palestinian and Israeli authorities reporting thousands of people have been injured and more than a thousand killed all over Israel and Gaza.

MSF has donated medicines and medical supplies to hospitals and health facilities in Gaza.

Your donation will help MSF quickly mobilise and provide critical medical care and relief during conflicts like in Gaza.
