As Israeli attacks intensify in Lebanon, healthcare facilities are being forced to close, leading to devastating consequences for civilians and their access to healthcare. MSF urges all warring parties to spare civilians, medical facilities, and medical personnel.

Dr Graham Knottenbelt is an anaesthetist from Auckland (Tāmaki Makaurau) who specialises in paediatric anaesthesia. Sexual violence is a major medical emergency in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), notably in eastern provinces affected by armed conflicts like North Kivu, South Kivu, Ituri or Maniema. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is calling on the government, donors, humanitarian organisations and parties to the conflict to mobilise to invest more in the prevention of sexual violence, improve access to comprehensive victim-centered care and increase the availability of victim support programmes.
