Association Officer (Part time)

Reporting to the Association Coordinator this newly designed role will assist with fostering strong associative engagement by providing robust and efficient administration, event planning support and commitment to the MSF Australia Association.

With ~300 members the MSF Australia Association is a dynamic and ever-evolving group of individuals who have worked in a field project, or in headquarters for MSF, who are committed to medical humanitarian action, critical governance and bearing witness for those who MSF helps.

Working collaboratively, you will be accountable for regular event management including Annual General Meetings; arranging activities and communications; administration and reporting; engaging with members to coordinate training and networking functions; development of process and association literacy material; and supporting strategy to promote and grow the Association.

To be successful in this supportive role you will have a natural ability to engage with stakeholders and will be motivated by reflecting MSFA's commitment to developing a motivated Association that is equipped to participate in all aspects of associative life.  Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within association management and governance;
  • Strong event management and administration experience;
  • Organisation skills and the ability to multitask;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Preferably you will have experience working in Humanitarian Aid;
  • and a keen interest in being a part of MSFA.
