Level 1 Helpdesk (6 month Casual Contract)

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. MSF provides assistance to populations in distress irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Information Communication & Technology (ICT) Manager this casual role will provide Level 1 / 1.5 helpdesk support across MSF Australia’s ICT department. Accountabilities include:

  • Triage, document, escalate and hands-on first responder support 
  • Helpdesk activities, including registering and responding to tickets 
  • Assist in troubleshooting, configuration and installations and deployments
  • Support administrative functions including documentations and communicating with the users. 
  • Contribute to the maintenance of MSFA’s ICT infrastructure including on premise servers, updates, upgrades, backups, O365 and other applications 

Requirements

To be successful in this key role you will have a natural talent all things tech and be motivated by working in a NFP organisation. Ideally be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Troubleshooting and configuring windows OS’s 10/2016, Azure based VM’s.  
  • Configuring and troubleshooting basic software and network issues  
  • Proficient in using various desktop environments cloud and on-premises 
  • Working knowledge of Networking concepts, LAN/WLAN device configurations etc. 
  • Hands-on with cloud concepts and basic Active Directory and Server administration
