Primary Health Care Practitioner - Operations
MSF are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Practitioner to join the Primary Health Care (PHC) TIC on a consultancy contract basis for a period of 11 months. The objective of the role is to test and embed an alternative and contextualized approach to Primary Health care delivery.
Ideally, the position will be based in Amsterdam, however other locations on the European Time Zones will be considered.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare delivery and will be responsible for facilitating the adoption of a new model for Primary Health care delivery in humanitarian settings, for MSF OCA. This will involve working closely with project teams, community leaders, and other stakeholders to implement and embed the new approach within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on testing, development, and implementation of a proven contextualized approach to Primary Healthcare program delivery in MSF OCA. (This requires project visits of variable length in 2-3 MSF OCA country programs including one emergency context).
- Contribute to the creation of a Primary Healthcare Framework as foreseen in the MSF OCA medical/operational strategy.
- Work collaboratively with the PHC TIC team lead, MSF OCA specialists and Public Health Department Advisors, project teams, community leaders, and other stakeholders to implement the new approach.
- Identify and address barriers to adoption and provide ongoing support to ensure successful implementation.
- Facilitate training and education sessions to build capacity and promote best practices.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of the new approach and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
- Support the organization in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and ongoing refinement of the new model.
Qualifications:
- A degree in health sciences, social sciences, or related field
- Extensive MSF Field experience
- Experience in healthcare delivery, including experience with Primary Health care delivery.
- Strong understanding of community-based health services and the social determinants of health
- Demonstrated experience in leading change management initiatives and implementing new programs or services.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
