It’s vital we move fast when a crisis occurs – our priority is getting skilled assistance to those who need it. You can help save lives in countries impacted by conflict, disaster, epidemics and wherever people are excluded from healthcare.

RESPONDING TO EMERGENCIES

As an independent, impartial medical humanitarian organisation, Médecins Sans Frontières can respond rapidly to emergency situations and deliver urgent medical treatment to people in need – no matter who they are. By making a donation, you can help ensure that we can be there to provide medical assistance during times of crisis.

On 7 December, two medical evacuations were organised by the Geo Barents team: one for the nine-month pregnant woman to Malta by helicopter, the other for Fatima*, her newborn baby Ali* and her three other sons to Lampedusa. The latter was possible after negotiations to keep the family together, as the Maltese authorities had given no choice but to separate the family members.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Whether in Columbia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Venezuela, Nigeria or Indonesia. Your donation supports MSF's Emergency Fund and is not restricted to a specific country or emergency.

We work where the need is greatest; it’s critical we respond as soon as a crisis occurs.
