Recruitment Process

Our application process is robust yet quite straightforward. It’s designed to ensure you can be yourself and share with us your experience and transferable skills while also providing you with all the information you need to decide if it’s the right opportunity for you.

The talent acquisition team reflects MSFA’s T.R.U.S.T values in their recruitment process:

Recruitment Process

Application

We share the job description along with the advertisement of the job and encourage you to research the position to ensure the available opportunity matches the position you are looking for. To apply you can send your resume and a cover letter, we will come back to you to confirm it has been received.

Tip – Address each of the requirements for the role in your cover letter.

Screening

The inhouse talent acquisition team reviews every application against the requirements, long-listed candidates may be contacted for a discussion.

Tip – If you receive a call or email, this is an opportunity for you to ask lots of questions too!

Interview

Sustainability has been built into the process with most first-round interviews conducted online, to create time efficiency and a reduction of carbon emissions with less travel.

Diversity is also considered at this stage of the recruitment process. Our interview panel will offer you an insight into our culture and help to make you comfortable when you meet us.

For some jobs, you may be asked to complete an assessment prior to a second interview. We have a collaborative work environment so the second meeting may be in person in our Glebe office.

Tip – Prior to the meeting review the job description again and prepare some examples that showcase either your experience or transferrable skills. Be yourself at the interview!

Checks

The selected candidate will be asked to share the contact information for two previous managers as part of a reference check. In support of our Child Protection Policy the preferred candidate will need to complete a background check.
