Recruitment Process

We provide a detailed job description alongside each advertised position and encourage you to review the information carefully and research the role to ensure the opportunity aligns with your skills, experience and career goals.

To apply you can send an updated resume and a cover letter that shares your motivation for the role. Once your application has been received, we will confirm receipt and provide information on the next steps in the recruitment process.

Tip – Address each of the essential requirements for the role in your cover letter.

Our in-house Talent Acquisition team reviews every application against all requirements of the position. Candidates who meet the initial criteria may be shortlisted and contacted for an initial discussion about their suitability for the role.

Tip – If you receive a call or email, this is an opportunity for you to ask lots of questions too!

Sustainability is an important part of our recruitment process. Where possible, first-round interviews are conducted online to create greater time efficiency and reduce carbon emissions associated with travel.

MSF's commitment to diversity is also reflected in the recruitment process. When interviewing for a role with us you will meet with a diverse panel of experts who will share an insight into our culture, values and ways of working.

Depending on the role, you may be asked to complete an assessment as a part of the interview process.

Collaboration is an important part of how we work, if progressing to a second interview this may be held in person at our Ultimo office.

Tip – Prior to your interview, review the job description again and prepare some examples that showcase either your experience or transferrable skills. Be yourself at the interview and be curious – we are open to answering all your questions!

As part of our recruitment process, the preferred candidate will be asked to provide the contact details of two previous managers for reference checks.

In line with our Child Protection Policy, the preferred candidate will be required to complete a background check.
