UKRAINE UPDATE

People in villages like ours are not living, we are surviving. No one thinks about places like this. People feel abandoned. Nobody cares about us.

A 55-year-old patient of MSF from Svitla Daca, Ukraine

Since the full escalation of war in Ukraine in February 2022, the senseless loss of life and human suffering has been immense and continues to rise more than four years later. For the people of Ukraine, four years of war, repeated displacement and chronic exposure to insecurity and violence have created a prolonged psychological emergency. Stress is not episodic, but continuous.

According to the United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission (HRMMU), nearly 15,000 civilians have been killed and more than 40,000 injured in Ukraine as a direct result of the Russian invasion. By the end of 2025, more than 5.8 million people had left Ukraine as refugees, while 3.7 million people had been internally displaced.

Your support to our Emergency Fund can help MSF continue to provide lifesaving and urgently needed care in Ukraine. Please give generously today.

Unless otherwise specified, contributions to Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) are directed to our general emergency fund, which is what we draw upon to deliver lifesaving healthcare wherever it’s needed around the world. Such unrestricted general donations give us the ability to direct funds where the needs are greatest, including under-reported and neglected crises.
