Tom Roth, Executive Director
Tom Roth is the executive director of Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) Australia and MSF New Zealand.
Tom has 25 years' experience in humanitarian leadership, including 17 years working with MSF globally. His extensive MSF experience covers projects in China, Sudan and Pakistan, as well as roles in headquarters, including as Deputy Director of MSF Access, which focuses on improving access to medicines and healthcare products.
Tom’s background also encompasses clinical and health management roles in Australia, including with Interplast Australia and New Zealand where he focused on improving healthcare systems and outcomes for communities in the Asia Pacific region. Tom also worked as the Director of COVID Operations and Performance with the Victorian Department of Health and with Aspen Medical Advisory Services, where he provided advice to governments and health organisations in the Middle East and the Pacific on policy and service delivery improvements.
