Double your impact. Help protect children from measles in the DRC.

Donate to MSF's dedicated measles vaccination program in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Every donation made by 10 December 2026 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $150,000, thanks to the generosity of our lead donors.

Measles remains a serious threat to children in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where recurring outbreaks, limited access to healthcare and ongoing conflict put young lives at risk. During recent epidemics, thousands of children have died from measles, while many others experienced serious complications, including pneumonia, severe diarrhoea and malnutrition. Although measles can be prevented through vaccination, many children in the DRC remain vulnerable due to low vaccination rates and barriers to accessing healthcare.

In 2026, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) plans to vaccinate up to 440,000 children aged six months to six years across Greater Katanga and North Kivu, where communities face recurring measles outbreaks and healthcare services are often limited. Delivering these large-scale vaccination campaigns requires more than vaccines alone. MSF teams must maintain reliable cold chains to keep vaccines at the correct temperature, transport medical supplies to remote communities, work alongside local health authorities and ensure trained medical staff can safely administer vaccinations. This coordinated response is essential to protecting children from severe illness and death, while helping communities build resilience against future outbreaks.

Your donation will go directly to MSF’s measles vaccination program in the DRC, supporting the delivery of this vital, lifesaving work. And, thanks to the generosity of lead donors who have committed to matching donations dollar for dollar, your gift can have twice the impact. Donations made by December 10th  will be matched up to a total commitment of $150,000, doubling the funding available for this program. MSF will also provide you with a detailed impact report showing how your donation has been invested and the difference this funding has made to the vaccination program. Your generosity can help protect children from a preventable disease and bring life-saving healthcare closer to the communities who need it most.
