In Malawi in East Africa, where Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) operates, over 4,000 Malawian women fall sick with cervical cancer every year.

Since 3rd of March 2022, more than 33,600 confirmed people have been reported as having cholera in the country and more than 1,093 people died.

Since the declaration of the Ebola outbreak in Uganda on 20 September (and as of 2 October 2022), the Ugandan Ministry of Health has confirmed 43 cases of Ebola and reported 29 deaths (nine confirmed deaths from the disease and 20 probable). MSF is working with the Ministry of Health to set up an initial emergency response to help stop the disease from spreading further.Â
