At the end of 2023, people living with HIV in the care of MSF in Dawei were transferred to the National Aids Program, whereas MSF’s support still remain

Cervical cancer accounts for 37 per cent of new cancers in women in Malawi. Since 2018, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has been working to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer and bring down deaths from the disease in the districts of Blantyre and Chiradzulu.

MSF head of mission Marion Péchayre explains how.  

After four years, the Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) adolescent health project in Indonesia came to an end in December 2022. .  

In 2002, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams opened the first outpatient treatment centre offering free care to people living with HIV in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Twenty years later, while great progress has been achieved in the country, major gaps remain in testing and treatment, causing thousands of preventable deaths each year. 

Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) calls on Myanmar’s de facto military government and other groups to take all steps to ensure people have safe and unhindered access to healthcare. Equally, medical staff must be able to provide life-saving care without attacks, detention or intimidation.
