One month after the explosion ripped through Beirut, MSF teams continue to provide aid to those injured and left homeless in a country that has been battered by crisis. Jonathan Whittall, former MSF emergency coordinator in Beirut and director of MSF’s Analysis Department, answers questions on our response since the explosion on 4 August.

Nicholas Menner, an electrician from Goolwa, South Australia, worked with Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in Malawi in mid-2019. He was involved in constructing the new operating theatre and inpatient ward opened in Blantyre in December 2019 to begin surgical treatment for cancer patients.

Bihar, one of the poorest states in India, is also one of the most populated. As the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India continues to rise, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is focused on ensuring everyone has access to treatment, particularly those from marginalised backgrounds in Bihar.
