ACTIVITIES
- Regularly monitor and document the protection situation of populations.
- Focus on living conditions, access to basic services, and human rights abuses.
- Provide comprehensive information to vulnerable populations for informed decision-making about support services.
- Identify and facilitate referrals to existing non-medical support services.
- Undertake individual protection case management using a multidisciplinary approach.
- Facilitate capacity building on protection for both medical and non-medical teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- Compliance with essential criteria for all potential international staff
- Minimum of 5 years in an NGO or association in the field of protection (e.g. child protection, anti-trafficking, sexual violence, etc.)
- Experience in conducting protection needs assessments and analyses and knowledge of inclusive safety and ethical principles for data collection.
- Experience in working with protection actors and coordination forums
- Ability to commit to a 9-month assignment (up to 12 months)
- Relevant qualifications in social work, mental health, international law, asylum law, political science, humanitarian affairs
DESIRABLE
- Language skills in French, Spanish or Arabic (to the level of B2 or higher)
